Arraignment delayed in California killings case

SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — Arraignment has been postponed for two convicted sex offenders accused of raping and killing four women in Southern California.

An Orange County Superior Court judge on Tuesday delayed the arraignment of Franc Cano and Steven Dean Gordon to May 19. They remain jailed without bail.

A public defender appointed for both men requested a medical exam for Cano, citing a range of health problems.

Each faces four counts of special circumstances murder and four counts of rape.

All the victims had histories of prostitution.
