Ashampoo Music Studio review

Ashampoo Music Studio is an affordable all-in-one music software solution that can play, manage, analyze, record, edit, extract, and burn high-quality MP3s and other audio; create mixtapes and CD covers; and more.

Pros

Extended free trial: Free registration extends Ashampoo Music Studio's ten-day free trial to a full 40 days, including full support and other advantages.

Media Center look: Music Studio resembles Windows Media Center in look and layout, with its easy-to-read large lettering and horizontal scrolling.

Stereo system: Ashampoo Music Studio essentially turns your PC into an audio component that organizes your music library, creates mixtapes, extracts and burns audio, edits files, and creates, edits, and prints CD covers.

Cons

Renaming: The Organize tool can rename and even move files, so be careful how you apply it if you're evaluating Music Studio.

Record: The Record feature doesn't offer a system audio option, though high-quality options include DirectShow and WASAPI.

Video: Limited video capabilities might prompt you to opt for a more comprehensive (and expensive) home media solution.

Bottom Line

Ashampoo Music Studio is affordable, nicely laid out, feature-rich, and works as well as pricier standalone music servers.

Editors' note: This is a review of the trial version of Ashampoo Music Studio 5.0.4.6.
