    Ashworth College now Accepting Applications for Gary Keisling ACCESS Scholarship Program

    Ashworth College (http://www.ashworthcollege.edu/), a leading online school, is now accepting applications for the 2012 Gary Keisling ACCESS Scholarship program. Applicants will vie for one of 22 scholarships with a combined value of up to $25,000.

    Ashworth College (http://www.ashworthcollege.edu/), a leading online school, announced that it is accepting applications for the 2012 Gary Keisling ACCESS Scholarship program. Applicants will vie for one of 22 scholarships with a combined value of up to $25,000.

    Named for the school’s former President and CEO in recognition of Keisling’s dedication and contributions to both Ashworth College and the field of distance education, the scholarship program will award 10 full ride high school scholarships, 10 career diploma scholarships, and one semester’s tuition each to an associate and a bachelor’s degree program.

    “In keeping with Gary’s personal mission of opening the doors of education to the underserved education population of America, we’re excited to offer these scholarships,” said Dr. Leslie Gargiulo, Ashworth College’s Vice President of Education. She went on to explain that Keisling has spent more than 25 years of his professional career helping millions of Americans who might not otherwise have the means or opportunities to pursue their education.

    To be considered for an ACCESS Scholarship, all applicants must submit an application and an original 250-500 word essay. High school and degree applications may also require past transcripts reflecting a 3.0 GPA or equivalent. All applications are due by February 1 and recipients will be announced on March 1.

    This year Ashworth will award 10 full ride high school scholarships, 10 career diploma scholarships, and one semester’s tuition each for an associate and a bachelor’s degree program.


    First time students may apply for the high school, career diploma or an associate or bachelor’s degree scholarship. Transfer students may apply for a high school or college degree scholarship. Existing students may apply for a college degree scholarship.

    Gary Keisling ACCESS Scholarship program

    Founded in 2011, the Gary Keisling ACCESS Scholarship program will offer a total of 22 scholarships with a combined value of up to $25,000.

    The Ashworth College Continuing Education for Student Success or ACCESS Scholarship for short, was founded to honor the online school’s former President and CEO, Gary Keisling whose personal and professional mission has been to offer affordable and accessible education to underserved populations who historically have had limited access to educational opportunities or an accredited diploma or degree.
