    The Association for Childhood Education International Launches a New Website Designed by DC Web Designers at Blue Water Media

    The Content Management System, RSS Feeds, Blog, and Broadcast Archive Implementation Coupled with the Visual Redesign Create a Compelling Digital Resource on Global Childhood Education

    Global community of childhood educators and advocates, The Association for Childhood Education International, recently launched a new website crafted by Washington DC web design firm, Blue Water Media. The new site, http://acei.org/, showcases an aesthetically appealing interface, RSS Feed integration, a blog, radio a broadcast archive, and the award-winning Joomla content management system. Blue Water Media’s efforts will help ACEI achieve their mission to promote and support in the global community the optimal education and development of children, from birth through early adolescence, and to influence the professional growth of educators and the efforts of others who are committed to the needs of children in a changing society.

    The ACEI homepage employs bright colors and an organized layout to display a vast amount of information in a clear, visually pleasing manner. An interactive slideshow featuring vibrant images of children and educators engaged in the learning/teaching process supports the site’s message of the importance of global education for children. Prominent call-to-actions urging visitors to join ACEI, sign up for the News and Events email list, connect via social media, register for upcoming events, and learn more about the featured publication, “The Earth is Our Home” and featured program, “Institute for International Education Diplomacy” encourages users to interact with the website. RSS feed integration on the home page a link to the ACEI radio network and downloadable broadcast archives further engages site visitors.

    Blue Water Media also updated the ACEI website from WordPress to the award-winning Joomla content management system. This will allow ACEI staff to easily update and add to the site independently of Blue Water Media. This capability will be crucial as the organization continues to grow and produce new content in their efforts to provide children across the globe with a quality education.
