AthleticScholarships.org has utilized data provided by hundreds of soccer recruits, college soccer coaches and college rosters to create Division I soccer recruiting guidelines for both men's and women's soccer. The guidelines identify what is considered all around ideal stats for high level Division I soccer recruits.

It is critical for high school students wishing to compete at the collegiate level to understand that evaluating prospective athletes isn't an exact science and competition is very high in Division I soccer. The guidelines serve to help student athletes better prepare themselves for the recruitment process and increase their chances of securing a position on a Division I soccer team by understanding the ideal stats. Currently there are 204 NCAA Division I men's soccer teams and 322 NCAA Division I women's soccer teams.
The guidelines were created using data provided by several sources, including hundreds of soccer recruits, college soccer coaches from around the country and college rosters. The purpose of analyzing the data was to identify the model stats for soccer players that are chosen to compete at the Division I collegiate level.
