    Atlanta Chevrolet Dealership Helps Atlanta Stay Green With EV Charging Stations

    Jim Ellis Chevrolet keeps it environmentally friendly by installing two electric vehicle charging stations at their Atlanta Chevy dealership to assist EV drivers with charging their electric vehicles quickly while away from their home.

    Jim Ellis Chevrolet has officially installed two 240V charging stations at the Atlanta Chevrolet dealership (one in the Service area and one in the Sales Area). Electric vehicle (EV) drivers that require a quick charge for their electric vehicles now have a place to do so if they're stuck in traffic on one of the many major thoroughfares that surround the Chevrolet dealership (I-85, I-285, Buford Highway, and Peachtree Industrial). The 240V chargers can charge an electric vehicle in under 4 hours.

    Following suit is the City of Woodstock, GA which became the first municipality in the state to offer a public charging station. The strategic location makes it easy for citizens to plug up and take advantage of shopping or dining in the city of Woodstock and come back to a fully charged vehicle. Many are considering electric vehicles for their daily transportation in order to drastically reduce or in some cases completely eliminate the need for gas as well as reducing emissions.

    Jim Ellis Chevrolet installed the EV charging stations for current EV adopters and also in anticipation of the arrival of the Chevrolet Volt in Atlanta. The Atlanta Chevy dealership acquired two of the Volts to allow customers to test drive the Chevy Volt ahead of their market availability in the Atlanta area which has garnered many pre-orders for the electric vehicle.

It also helps to add preliminary market value for the electric vehicles since the public's primary concern is for the availability of stations to charge their vehicles should the need be required away from home.
