Attempted rape of woman walking her dog

A man has attempted to rape a woman who was walking her dog in Surrey woodland, police have said.

The assault happened near Lollesworth Lane in West Horsley at 15:00 BST on Tuesday, officers said.

A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of attempted rape and common assault. He remains in police custody.

Surrey Police is appealing for any witnesses to the attack which took place near the railway bridge at the end of Lollesworth Lane.
