    Attorney Louis Cohan Announces Opening of New Law Firm

    Cohan Law Group, LLC, provides services in the practice areas of employment and civil rights, community association litigation, commercial litigation and real estate and construction law.

    Louis R. Cohan, formerly of Weinstock and Scavo, has announced the formation of Cohan Law Group, LLC. The firm will be located at 3340 Peachtree Rd., Suite 580 in Tower Place in Buckhead.

    “It was time to start a new chapter in my career,” said Cohan. “The opportunity presented itself, and I am excited to open my own firm.”

    Cohan has 20 years experience in practice as a business litigator with concentrations in employment and civil rights. In 2010, Cohan was named among the Legal Elite by Georgia Trend Magazine. Only 10 attorneys are selected each year, voted by their peers as the most effective in 10 different areas of practice.

    Cohan has an AV rating with Martindale, and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and serves on the boards of the Atlanta Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Foundation, Atlanta Israel Bonds and the Anti Defamation League.

    In addition to employment and civil rights litigation, Cohan says the firm will practice in the areas of commercial litigation, real estate and construction, and community association litigation.

    Cohan received his B.B.A. from the University of Georgia and his J.D. from Emory University. Cohan is very active in the community; has lectured to lawyers, employers and employees; and has litigated across the country.
