Taylor Swift is music's golden goddess, selling out arenas in minutes and driving fans to near hysteria over her smash-hit singles, including her latest, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," the singer's first single off her upcoming album, "Red."

ABC News caught up with the six-time Grammy winner - Swift is the youngest winner of the music industry's highest honor, the Grammy award for Album of the Year - on a blistering hot August day in Nashville at her cover shoot for Glamour magazine - her third - which will be featured in the magazine's November issue, out on newsstands nationwide on Oct. 9. The styling of the shoot was what Swift called a '40s meets '70s vibe, and was set on an old train.

"I love these shoots, cover shoots, because I really just let them do what they want," the 22-year-old singer told "Nightline" anchor Cynthia McFadden in an exclusive interview. "I used to be particular about things. I used to ask,

  • Lindsay Lohan Allegedly Assaulted at NYC Hotel

    ABC News Reports:

Actress Lindsay Lohan was allegedly assaulted early this morning by a man she had invited back to her room at a posh New York City hotel, police said.

The 26-year-old actress told police she met Christian LaBella, 25, at celeb hot spot 1 Oak and invited him, along with three of her friends, back to her room at the W Hotel in Union Square early Sunday morning.

Once in the room, Lohan told police she found pictures of herself on LaBella's phone and confronted him. LaBella allegedly threw her on a bed when she did not hand over his phone, leaving her with scratches, police said.

According to police, Lohan then ran out and down several flights of stairs where she was again confronted by LaBella, who she said tried to choke her from behind.

At this point, she told police, she pulled the hotel fire alarm disabling the elevators and summoning police to the scene, police said.

  • Anne Hathaway Marries Adam Shulman

ABC News' Alyssa Newcomb and Luchina Fisher report:

Oscar-nominated actress Anne Hathaway has tied the knot with actor-jewelry designer Adam Shulman.

More than 100 guests watched Hathaway and her beau of four years exchange vows at a private estate in scenic Big Sur, Calif., on Saturday night, People Magazine reported.

The actress wore a gown by her close friend, Valentino Garavani, who earlier this month revealed he would be designing a dress for the actress' nuptials.

The 29-year-old actress and Shulman announced their engagement last November.

Hathaway began dating the "mellow" Shulman, 31, following the messy end of her four-year romance with Italian entrepreneur Raffaello Follieri in 2008. Follieri pleaded guilty in September 2008 to swindling investors out of millions in an elaborate con in which he posed as a real estate consultant for the Vatican.

Understandably, Hathaway eased into her next relationship.

"We hit it off immediately, but it took us a pretty

  • Renoir Flea Market Find May Belong to Museum

ABC News' Katie Kindelan and Suzan Clarke report:

A one-of-a-kind flea market find of a Renoir painting by a Virginia woman may turn into a courtroom battle after it was discovered the painting may have been stolen from an art museum decades ago.

The painting, a river Seine scene titled "Paysage Bords de Seine," was scheduled to be auctioned on Saturday but that has been put on hold after a reporter for The Washington Post uncovered documents from the Baltimore Museum of Art showing that the painting was stolen from the museum in 1951.

Instead of calling the auction, where the painting was expected to command at least $75,000, officials from the Alexandria, Va.-based Potomack Company auction house and the museum called the FBI, which has opened an investigation into the theft.

"Potomack is relieved this came to light in a timely manner as we do not want to sell any item without clear title," Elizabeth

  • Is There a Gene for Motherhood?

ABC News' Juju Chang and Mary Pflum report:

Rory Delaney is a three-year-old who has not been out of diapers that long, but she already knows something about changing them.

Her sister, Saorise, is a five-year-old kindergarten student who already knows what she wants to be when she grows up, a mom.

Now, researchers at Rockefeller University say the inclination that both Rory and Saorise feel at such a young age to nurture and feed their baby dolls and play with items like strollers could be something they were born with, and something that will definitely impact their futures.

In a study with mice, the researchers determined that a single gene exists that could be responsible for motivating mothers to protect, feed and raise their young.

The study's findings mean there could be a valid explanation as to why some women seem born to be maternal figures, while others come across as detached or cold or even completely not interested when it comes to children.

    Some are calling the

    ABC News' Karson Yiu reports:

Cecil Chao Sze-tung is Hong Kong's perennial playboy. Call him the city's Hugh Hefner, minus the pajamas and add a pair of shades.

Never married, real estate and shipping tycoon Chao, 76, has been a staple of the Hong Kong tabloid and social rags since the 1970s. For over 40 years he's proudly paraded what seems to be an endless supply of female arm candy in front of the flashing bulbs.

Tales of his romantic dalliances are tabloid staples. He once boasted about having slept with over 10,000 women. Just last year the septuagenarian Chinese Casanova, as to prove his virility has not been dashed by time, posed in a magazine photo spread surrounded by young bikini-clad models.

He has fathered three children from three different women.

He has thumbed his nose at the institution of marriage. Until this week.

Chao's respect for a traditional marriage was prompted by his daughter Gigi, 33, being quoted recently in the Beijing press saying she

    ABC News' Aleem Agha reports:

KABUL, Afghanistan - A newborn girl left abandoned on the side of the road in southern Afghanistan has been adopted by a childless Afghan couple.

"We have named her Arya [which means happiness], and we will take care of her forever," the adoptive father, Mohammad Zahir, a 29-year-old shopkeeper from Ghazni, Afghanistan, said Thursday. "She has completely changed our lives. We are so happy. The whole family has been supportive of our decision."

Zahir has been married for four years, but he and his wife have been unsuccessful in their attempts to have children.

After a visit to a Ghazni hospital, however, he and his wife have their family.

"A man, Mohammad Zahir, contacted us and asked if his family could take care of the baby," Baz Mohammad Himat, director of health in Ghazni, said. "They promised to take care of her for the rest of their lives.

"This family was on a waiting list with this hospital for any unwanted baby."
