A Texas mom has been arrested and charged with felony criminal mischief for her alleged participation in a neighborhood prank that caused an estimated $6,000 in damages.
Tara Mauney, 41, was charged for the July vandalism of a home in her upscale neighborhood in Colleyville, Texas, in the Dallas-Forth Worth area.
Mauney allegedly bought supplies to help a group of middle school students who were having a sleepover at her house vandalize another neighborhood home where a separate sleepover was going on, according to ABC News’ Dallas-Fort Worth affiliate WFAA.
The allegedly victimized homeowners found chicken in their mailbox and words like “whore house” and “sluts” smeared in Sharpie and mustard on and around the house, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by WFAA. There were also reportedly feminine products doused in ketchup strewn about the property.
Mauney’s attorney Tom Hall vehemently denied that his client had anything to do with the vandalism.
A new pen introduced by Bic has the Internet buzzing-and biting. The "Bic Cristal for Her" is a ballpoint pen that comes in pastel colors and boasts an "elegant design-just for her!"
Shoppers have taken to the reviews section of Amazon to write hundreds of snarky, and often sarcastic, "reviews" of the pens.
One reviewer, writing under the name breemeup, is highlighted as "the most helpful favorable review" on Amazon since she gave the pens five stars. The title of the review is, "I am writing this in the kitchen."
Ralph the penguin is in the market for a new wet suit and it looks like he may soon be getting not just one, but two suits. The 13-year-old Humboldt penguin lives at Marwell Wildlife park in Winchester, United Kingdom. He loses his feathers faster than the other penguins during his annual molt, which makes him vulnerable to sun burn and cold.
“For the past couple of years, Ralph has had a wetsuit to protect him from the sun and keep him warm on colder evenings,” the wildlife charity wrote on their website.“However, with all Ralph’s swimming and grooming, the wetsuit has now seen better days.”
The rubber wet suit was made from the same material as a human wetsuit and fitted with Velcro to make it easy to adjust. The suit is extremely flexible and does not restrict his movement, Marwell said.
Marwell describes Ralph as a “bouncy character” who grooms the wetsuit just as he would with feathers and his partner, Coral, is often seen grooming him too.
But photos and video show that Ralph’s wet suit is frayed around the edges and tearing at the seams.
Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, was hospitalized today for a recurrence of the bladder infection he suffered from earlier this summer, Buckingham Palace sources said.
The prince has been admitted to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for investigation and treatment, according to the palace. He is likely to remain there for the next few days.
The palace said earlier today that he was hospitalized “as a precautionary measure.” He was taken by ambulance to the U.K. hospital.
The 91-year-old duke has had a number of health scares in recent years.
Prince Philip was hospitalized for a bladder infection during Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations in June.
The prince underwent minor surgery in December 2011 to open a blocked artery after suffering from chest pains.
He was hospitalized for a chest infection in 2008, but recovered quickly. Officials revealed in 2007 that he had been suffering from a heart condition since 1992.
The prince has made numerous public appearances recently, including at the London Olympics. He attended the opening ceremonies with his wife, Queen Elizabeth II, and he was in the stands at the equestrian arena to watch his granddaughter Zara Phillips compete.

Beyonce’s mother, Casey, a dachshund mix, was abandoned by her owners and living on the streets of San Bernardino, Calif., when she was picked up by Devore Animal Control.
The pregnant Casey was then scheduled to be spayed and have her puppies aborted, as happens with many stray pregnant dogs, when a veterinarian determined she was too far along to end the pregnancy.
Casey was scheduled for euthanasia — with her pups inside her — when the Grace Foundation in Northern California came to the rescue.
“They call us when there is absolutely no other alternative, when these dogs are on death row,” Jeanne Warr, the Grace Foundation’s director of operations, told ABCNews.com.
An ultrasound showed that Casey was carrying five puppies, one of which was “abnormally small,” said Warr.”At that point, they didn’t even know if she was going to be stillborn or a viable puppy,”
On March 8, Casey delivered all her puppies, and Beyonce came out last.
