Arsenio Hall, whose meteoric rise in the late-night talk show game made him a 1990s icon, is returning to the late night game.

Hall, 57, has inked a deal with CBS Television Distribution for a syndicated nightly talk show to air Mondays through Fridays. The new show is scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2013.

"We're excited to welcome Arsenio back to the family and partnering on his new, late-night syndicated talk show," CBSTVD president John Nogawski said in an announcement Monday.

"Years ago, he transcended time periods and attracted a crossover audience while bringing a fresh perspective to late night. That same need in the market exists today as when we originally launched," he added.

The "Arsenio Hall Show," ran from 1989 through 1994. Hall's playful banter with audiences and guests and his ability to appeal to a young and diverse demographic made the show a surprise success. His distinctive chanting of "Woof, Woof, Woof!" while pumping his fist caught on across

  • Third Time the Unlucky Charm for Washington Homeowner

It might be time for Sam Edmon to look for a new home.

The Washington state homeowner has seen his residence struck by natural disaster not once, not twice but three times, most recently with an unexplained chunk of ice falling through the roof .

Edmon was awakened from bed the night of June 4 by what he presumed was an explosion. When he saw nothing wrong in his Edgewood, Wash., home he went back to bed. The next morning he discovered the problem, a hole in his roof, according to local ABC affiliate KOMO-TV.

"About 8 inches [in diameter]," Edmon said of the hole's size. "I come back into the house, open the closet [and] there's insulation everywhere, soaking wet."

The cause of the wetness was falling chunks of ice, now saved in his freezer as evidence, that punctured the roof. Following his hunch that the ice could have fallen from a plane, Edmon contacted the Federal Aviation Administration which said, that, yes, ice does come off the wings of planes as they start to

  • Teen Given Chance to Smile at Prom Thanks to Generosity of Strangers

credit: North News & Pictures LtdA 16-year-old British girl who was born with a misshapen face and enlarged tongue that prevented her from even talking now has a photo album's worth of her smiling face at her senior prom thanks to the generosity of strangers.

Katie Meehan, from the Fellgate area of Jarrow, in South Tyneside, England, was born with cystic hygroma, a condition in which fluid forms a mass on the head and neck, according to her local newspaper, the Shields Gazette.

The condition was so severe, the paper reported, that Meehan was left with cysts in her mouth and doctors told her family their daughter would never be able to speak.  With that in mind, the Gazette launched a fundraising campaign in 2000 to give the family the funds needed for surgeries to reduce swelling in Meehan's mouth and tongue and allow her to live a more comfortable life.

That single appeal resulted in more than $90,000 in contributions from Meehan's neighbors and friends, as well as complete strangers.  It also

  • Brazilian Left Green After 'Hulk' Paint Fails to Wash Off

A Brazilian man who tried to transform himself into the superhero "The Hulk" made a major mistake.

Instead of using easy to remove body paint, the man, Paulo Henrique dos Santos, used a paint reserved for ballistic missiles and nuclear submarines.

(Courtesy: Agencia O Globo)The result?  Dozens of baths, a trip to the doctor, fears of lead poisoning and a level of fame in his local Brazilian town, according to the Brazilian news site  Extra.globo.com.

The site reports that dos Santos, a 35-year-old pool attendant from Vila Cruzeiro, painted himself green to go in character as Hulk for a local running event.  Long after the run was over, however, the green stain remained.

Dos Santos took more than 20 baths and enlisted the help of family, including his mom, and friends to try to scrub him clean.  In order to sleep he had to rest in bed on plastic-lined sheets to avoid staining anything else in his reach, according to reports.

Dos Santos, the site says, became concerned that he was being poisoned by

  • Cows Crash Mass. Beer Party and Drink Up

Massachusetts police responding to a call from a neighborhood party found out that they had, very literally, some wild animals on their hands.

Police in Boxford, Mass., arrived at the scene of a backyard party on Sunday night to find six cows helping themselves to a table full of beer.

(Wicked Local)The cans of beer were left behind by the 12 or 13 young adult females who had been enjoying their Sunday night when the cows crashed their party in Boxford, a Boston suburb with a population of nearly 8,000, according to police.

"I could hear them [the partygoers] screaming in the backyard and I hoped they weren't getting trampled," Lt. James Riter told WickedLocal Boxford, which first reported the story.

"I saw one cow drinking the beer on its way down as it spilled off the table," he told the site.  "Some of the cows were also picking through the empties in the recycling bin.  They just went in and helped themselves."

Lt. Riter was first put on the cows' trail around 9 p.m. when the

  • Kevin Costner Surprised by Link to Whitney Houston

Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston shared career success in "The Bodyguard" and remained close friends after the 1992 film but it wasn't until Houston's surprise death in February that the actor realized the depth of the connection they shared.

"She was a very important person to me and the world has connected us in a way that we'll never not be," Costner said today on " Good Morning America."  "I didn't really get a full grasp of that until the lead-up to the funeral where people somehow felt that it was important that I say something."

Costner, 57, and Houston co-starred in the late singer's movie debut in which she sang "I Will Always Love You" in the film that made more than $400 million at the box office.  The actor delivered a moving eulogy at Houston's Feb. 18 funeral that hit on the issues of insecurity and doubt that had dogged the singer, found dead in a bathtub at age 48, in her later career.

"It's a tree we can all hang from, the inexplicable burden that

  • Pippa Middleton Steals Spotlight From the Bride, Again

Everyday brides-to-be stressing over the planning of their upcoming weddings can be grateful for at least one thing, not having to include Pippa Middleton on their guest list.

(Andrew Milligan/AP Photo)The royal sister-in-law stole the show from the bride once again, this time at the weekend wedding of her close friend, Camilla Hook, 28, and her fiancé Sam Holland, 27.  Although the bride entered the Scottish chapel where the ceremony took place dressed in an elegant lace dress, according to British media, the cameras were turned instead to Middleton, 28, dressed in a low-cut raspberry wrap dress, floral fascinator and black suede heels.

The moment brought back memories of a year ago when Middleton stole the show as a bridesmaid at the royal wedding of her older sister, Kate Middleton, to Prince William.  It was then that Pippa Middleton's walk down the aisle in a form-fitting dress turned her into a one-name wonder overnight and earned her the moniker "Her Royal Hotness."

  • Startling Birth Control Ad for Pets

Parents of teens know that at that certain age they can't avoid having the dreaded "sex talk" with their kids, but what about with their pets?  What if pet owners started thinking of their pets as their teens when it comes to avoiding pregnancy?

That's the dramatic, but humorous, approach taken in a new series of public service announcements and advertisements produced by the Best Friends Animal Society, the nation's largest sanctuary for homeless animals.

In the spots, voiced by "NCIS: LA" actress Linda Hunt and "Modern Family" star Eric Stonestreet, parents appear to be reacting to their kids' promiscuity, only to have the kids replaced by their pets.  In other words, once you start thinking of your pets as your kids, it's a lot easier to think of what needs to be done to keep them from delivering offspring.

Called "Prevent more. Fix at month four," the campaign is the first national effort to educate pet owners on when, not just why, they should spay and neuter,

  • Tyra Banks Built Her Modeling Career Over Pizza

Tyra Banks has called for a toast over barbecue and burgers to celebrate Vogue's pledge to promote healthy body image among its models, but it was a toast over pizza that started the famously curvy supermodel's own career.

The 38-year-old model mogul was just beginning her modeling days when her body changed from a size four to a size six, prompting hate mail and charges made by designers that she was fat and not hire-able.

"My mom said, 'You know what, we're going to do about this?  We're going to go get pizza,'" Banks said today on " Good Morning America."  "And over pizza in a Milan pizzeria we crafted a strategy for how to take my curves and make them work for me as opposed to me either starving myself or bowing out of the modeling industry."

PHOTOS: Tyra Banks Through the Years

Banks, of course, went on to become one of the world's top supermodels, earning millions of dollars, posing in countless magazines and turning her modeling
