Nine-year-old Tom Spicer has become a YouTube sensation with his ability to bounce a pingpong ball off random surfaces and land it perfectly in a nearby cup. The latest video of the youngster's talent, which was posted just last week, already has more than 550,000 views.

While most commenters seem impressed by the boy's tricks, others are calling foul. Several people have accused him of faking it, saying there's no way a kid could make these complex shots. His dad, Neil, said he does not have enough time to create special effects. "I really don't have that level of commitment," he said. "We are an ordinary family, with an ordinary camera, taking really ordinary video clips."

The Australian boy became interested in pingpong ball tricks more than a year ago after watching similar clips on YouTube. He practices new shots often, which has left his home littered with balls that have not

A father and son's creative way to help save a school from being shut down has been quashed by school district officials. Casey Young, a former student at the Learning Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, suggested listing the school on eBay as a way to offset deep budgetary cuts.

The starting bid was $599,995 -- the exact amount the school needs to remain open for the 2012-2013 school year. The eBay listing described the school in a tongue-in-cheek manner, calling it a "pre-owned, but extremely successful public school."

Late Monday night, the eBay auction was pulled after a request from Neshaminy School District officials. Steve Young, Casey's father, said he received permission to list the school from a former superintendent who retired just last week. But school board president Ritchie Webb said the board would need to authorize any fundraisers.

    The winning bidder would have

The Supreme Court's ruling on the health-care law Thursday created an unparalleled social media firestorm. At one point, there were more than 13,000 tweets every minute about the decision. So it should come as no surprise that some people made incorrect statements.

One notable trend on Twitter involved people threatening to move to Canada to escape America's new health-care law. The big problem with that decision? Canada already has universal health care, which is even more involved than the newly mandated U.S. law. There was even an 18% increase in Yahoo searches for "Canadian immigration" yesterday.

Another trend included common typos in response to the new health-care law. A Tumblr page called "Affordabe Care Cat" went up in response to the common typo on the "Affordable Care Act." The blog posts one of the Internet's common subjects, pictures of cats, with clever block texts

Memorable wedding proposals are becoming almost as common as hot summer days, but one man in Brooklyn, New York, figured out a way to stand out. Armed with a film degree from the University of Texas, 24-year-old Anthony Pinder created a stop-motion video using Lego blocks to ask his girlfriend of six years, Ariana Gomez, to marry him.

The video required a week of editing and several thousand photos, but Pinder found a way to pull it off without his girlfriend knowing. Gomez has a Tumblr blog where she posts one photo a day, and Pinder told her that he was inspired to take a photo a day of Lego toys and put it on his Flickr page. Whenever she left the apartment, he would work on the video. When it came time to pop the question, Pinder had to get her in front of the computer, so he told her that he wanted to show her a "cool video." As Gomez watched and "started freaking out in a

But before you dart off to the local department store to buy your friends a gift from their registry, President Barack Obama's re-election campaign would like you to consider a new gifting option: the Obama Event Registry. Part of the description reads: "Instead of another gift card you'll forget to use, ask your friends and family for something that will go a little further." The description goes on to suggest donating the money you would have used for your friends' gift to the Obama re-election campaign in their honor.

The registry is now available online, and it suggests that donating does not have be limited to weddings. It could be for any event from birthdays to graduations and even bar mitzvahs. The website even gives couples suggested wording when asking for the gifts. For example, it has, "I'm making it

One of Vincent Van Gogh's most famous works of art is his 1889 painting 'Starry Night.' This famous masterpiece has inspired countless re-creations and tributes over the years, but one very committed artist thought the painting's swirling style would lend itself to a less traditional medium: dominoes.

The YouTube user, known as FlippyCat, says he used more than 7,000 dominoes to re-create the masterpiece, and it took him only two tries to get it right. His first attempt was ruined when a screw from the camera rig fell onto the setup. The second attempt was successful. FlippyCat spent 11 hours meticulously setting each domino in place. Responding to a user's question, FlippyCat said he took "lots of breaks, spread over a few days." The painting's intricacies were revealed as the individual sections fell.

So far, FlippyCat's video is a hit, having been viewed more than 125,000 times

Dyrk Burcie is a 4-year-old little boy whose courageous battle against terminal cancer has touched the hearts of his Dallas, Texas, community, but his impact does not stop there.

In April, when Dyrk's family announced on Facebook that they would stop intensive treatment, the local firefighter community, to which his father, Dameon, belongs, wanted to do something to keep the family's spirits high. The firefighters arranged a picture with Dyrk's name and some words of encouragement. Soon, other fire departments caught on and sent in their own photos of support all with the message "Dyrk Strong."

If there's one word that describes a die-hard "Star Wars" fan, it would be "dedicated." Mark Dermul of Belgium exemplifies that dedication. When Dermul learned that the home used for Luke Skywalker's house in the movies was in desperate need of repair, he set off on a mission to fix it.

In a remote area of the Tunisian desert, Dermul led a group of "Star Wars" fans as they renovated and repainted what is commonly referred to as the Lars Homestead. The sci-fi writer raised $11,000 for the renovation on his website in a section titled Save Lars. The website features photos, a diary, and videos of the reconstruction.

To make the reconstruction as authentic and detailed as possible, one of the cement steps of the home consists of sand from all the other "Star Wars" shooting locations in Tunisia. After a week of working in 115 degree temperature, the team returned Luke Skywalker's
