  • Man plans incredible surprise second wedding for wife on anniversary

Mia Fitzharris at Trending Now 6 days ago

Let’s face it. Some husbands are just better at making plans for their wives on special occasions. And there’s no better way to illustrate that point than to introduce you to Steven. The Atlanta native wanted to surprise his wife, Kelli, with something really big and different on their 10th wedding anniversary — boy did he deliver. The big event was captured by the wedding videography team at Iris Films.  As Kelli approached her house, a friend who was with her told her that she would need to be blindfolded for the rest of the journey home, to which Kelli replied, “This is not going viral, is it?” Sorry Kelli, it might. After arriving home, the friend brought Kelli upstairs so she could changing into something a little more formal. Then, as she was led outside, the blindfold came off, and there was Steven, who told her, “I want to show you with my actions how much I love you.” The next thing Kelli sees is a 75-piece marching band and an a cappella group singing, “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” Steven and Kelli’s daughters then show up with a sign that reads, “Will you marry me… again?” Friends and family filled in the ceremony space and joined together, as the couple renewed their...

  • Improv Everywhere shocks family with surprise Christmas carolers

Mia Fitzharris at Trending Now 7 days ago

Improv Everywhere, a group based in New York City, always seems to have something fun up its sleeves. For the past 13 years, the crew has been recruiting people from the Web and organizing them to participate in stunts of epic proportions. You probably know them from their in-your-face antics, such as “Frozen Grand Central Terminal” in New York City, the food court musical, and the famous yearly No Pants Subway Day! Well this time, Improv Everywhere decided to spread some holiday cheer by surprising a family with an over-the-top Christmas carol display. The 20-person brass orchestra and 13-member choir rehearsed at a studio in Manhattan the day before. Then, the group invited the Schreiber family to a rented home in Englewood Cliffs, N.J., under the guise that they were having their Christmas photos taken. Mom was the only one in on the act. What you see from dad and the kids is as genuine as a Christmas morning surprise. The surprise was carried out with five different families, but the Schreiber’s video was picked to be a part of the video because of their enthusiastic reaction. Improv Everywhere, a group of prank masters who have pulled off more than 100 missions, was formed in ...

The Holderness family has had quite a year. You might remember the crew from Raleigh, N.C., from last holiday season’s viral hit video ‘Xmas Jammies.’     That YouTube video was viewed more than 15 million times! Since hitting it big, the Holdernesses have been releasing fun parody videos for most holidays. And while some families will choose to send out a written newsletter, this family opted to go a different route because that’s in the Holderness DNA. They released an overview of their exciting year, performed to their own version of R.E.M.’s hit “It’s the End of the World As We Know It (and I Feel Fine).”  The video chronicles the best-of moments of 2014 from mom Kim, dad Penn, and their son and daughter, Penn and Lola. Highlights include Lola’s birthday party and little Penn’s love for kayaks and waterslides.   All of this attention is not only fun for the family, but its good for business too! Kim and Penn run a digital marketing company called Greenroom, which has seen a recent boom thanks to their viral hit videos. The company was also recently picked to be a part of a reality show!   Did your family do something unique to mark the holiday season...

  • Scuba Diver Finds Rightful Owner of Wedding Ring After Exhaustive Internet Search

Mia Fitzharris at Trending Now 16 days ago

When 21-year-old Daniel Roark went scuba diving in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, back in September, he expected to discover beautiful underwater sights. He also discovered something else — a ring . Daniel took to the Web to find its rightful owner, posting a photo of the ring to his Facebook page, where it was shared more than 127,000 times. The search for the ring owner even got national news coverage.   But finding the person who the ring belonged to became practically a part-time job, with Daniel spending four to five hours a day pursuing leads, responding to messages, and following up on emails.     After more than 50 people falsely tried to claim the ring as theirs, Daniel received a Facebook message from a woman who said the ring belonged to her cousin. To confirm the claim, she sent a photo from the couple’s wedding. And there it was — the exact ring.     The couple, Jessica Garza-Castillo and Martin Castillo of the Mexican state of Tamaulipas, provided Daniel with a receipt from the jeweler and verified the inscription on the inside of the band. It turns out that hubby Martin lost the ring while the couple was scuba diving on their honeymoon in February...

  • Man Loses Fantasy Football Bet, Has to Recreate Music Video

Mia Fitzharris at Trending Now 21 days ago

When Chuck Jose lost in the fantasy football league he was a part of, he knew there were huge stakes that went along with the loss, and we’re not talking thousands of dollars.  Unfortunately for Chuck, who works in the video game division at Sony,  the bet cost him his dignity.  He had to do a shot-for-shot recreation of Sia’s “Chandelier” music video,  right down to the flesh-colored leotard and blond wig.   We must say, even though he was a loser in fantasy football, he won a place in our hearts for this video. In response to the more than 240,000 views of his music video, Jose said, “Maybe I should start losing bets more often.” There’s still one bet you couldn’t lose, Chuck. And that is having the best dance moves.
