  • Beyonce Pens Love Letter to Michelle Obama

It's no secret that hip-hop's first family is a huge fan of the Obamas, but Beyonce went a step further Wednesday, posting a love letter to First Lady Michelle Obama on her website.

In the letter, which appears to be handwritten, the pop star called Michelle Obama "the ULTIMATE example of a truly strong African American woman."

"No matter the pressure, and the stress of being under the microscope - she's humble, loving, and sincere," Beyonce wrote. "Michelle, thank you so much for every single thing that u do for us - I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to."

It's not clear if Beyonce also mailed the note to the White House (her publicist did not immediately respond to ABCNews.com's request for comment).

Meanwhile, President Obama voiced his approval of Beyonce's husband in a new Atlantic article. Asked whether he prefers Kanye West or Jay-Z - the longtime collaborators headlined the Grammy-winning album "Watch the

    Whitney Houston's 911 Call Released

The 911 call regarding Whitney Houston’s death was released today and reveals that Houston “wasn’t breathing” from the moment she was found in the bathroom of her hotel room at the Beverly Hills Hilton.

On the tape obtained by TMZ.com, a member of the hotel’s security team tells the 911 dispatcher that a 46-year-old female might have fallen in the bathroom and “apparently she wasn’t breathing.” The caller also says that people in the room “kept hanging up” on him and that the “person that called me was irate.” Because of this the operator that answered the call asked, but was not able to give CPR instructions directly to anyone in the singer’s hotel room according to the 911 call.

Houston’s assistant, hair dresser, and bodyguard were in her room at the time the 911 call was made.

  • 'Simpsons' Creator Matt Groening Reveals Town That Inspired Springfield

After keeping fans in the dark for nearly 25 years, "Simpsons" creator Matt Groening has finally revealed the inspiration for the town where the show takes place.

In an interview with  Smithsonian magazine, Groening said the fictional Springfield that's home to "The Simpsons" was named after Springfield, Ore.

"The only reason is that when I was a kid, the TV show 'Father Knows Best' took place in the town of Springfield, and I was thrilled because I imagined that it was the town next to Portland, my hometown," Groening said. "When I grew up, I realized it was just a fictitious name. I also figured out that Springfield was one of the most common names for a city in the U.S. In anticipation of the success of the show, I thought, 'This will be cool; everyone will think it's their Springfield.' And they do."

As for why he never said the show's Springfield was named after the small, Oregon town, Groening said, "I don't want to ruin it for people, you know? Whenever people say

  • Anthony Bourdain Says Paula Deen Is 'Good at Playing the Victim'

Anthony Bourdain Says Paula Deen Is 'Good at Playing the Victim' "Very cruel" comments be damned, Anthony Bourdain's not backing down from his criticism of doughnut burger pioneer and diabetes drug seller Paula Deen.

"I think she's being disingenuous," the "No Reservations" host told ABCNews.com today. "She's being very good at playing the victim. Let's call it what it is. This is big company that rolled out a new product, a diabetes drug, [with someone who was] selling doughnuts to children for years. I thought it was in bad taste, I made some cracks about it, and I walked into the whirlwind."

"This is not about diabetes," he added, "I feel bad for anyone who has diabetes."

Deen told the May issue of Prevention magazine that Bourdain was "very, very cruel" following her January revelation that she has diabetes and is working with diabetes drug-maker Novo Nordisk. (He tweeted, among other things, "Thinking of getting into the leg-breaking business, so I can profitably sell crutches later.")

But lest you think that Bourdain is a

Vanessa Williams is opening up about the sexual abuse she suffered as a young girl.

In an interview featured in the latest issue of People magazine, the "Desperate Housewives" star said the molestation she endured at age 10 "didn't paralyze me, and I don't dwell."

She describes what happened in an excerpt from her upcoming memoir, "You Have No Idea." She was visiting family friends in California who had an 18-year-old daughter, Susan. One night, Susan walked in on Williams while she was sleeping.

"Susan pulled down the bloomers of my cotton baby-doll pajamas," Williams writes. "'What are you doing?' I asked. 'Don't worry - it'll feel good.' I lay there paralyzed. What was I going to do?"

Williams kept the incident to herself for years; only in college did she realize she was molested. But, she writes, the effects of what happened were immediate.

"After that trip I felt something change in me," she writes. "I had always been defiant but I became a bit more rebellious. I began

  • Levi Johnston's Girlfriend Is Pregnant

Levi Johnston's Girlfriend Is Pregnant Levi Johnston is going to be a dad again.

A source close to Bristol Palin's ex-fiance told ABCNews.com that Johnston's girlfriend, Sunny Oglesby, has been pregnant for "about four or five months." The source would not comment on whether the two plan to get married.

Johnston, 21, and Oglesby, 20, have been dating for a year.

This will be the second child for Johnston, who fathered a son with Bristol Palin, the eldest daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, in 2008. Johnston and Bristol Palin called off their engagement in March 2009, got engaged again in July 2010, and split up once and for all weeks later.

Johnston's book "Deer in the Headlights," released in September, claimed that Bristol Palin wanted to get pregnant because she was jealous of her mother's pregnancy with son Trig. Having a baby of her own, he wrote, was exactly "what she wanted."

  • Chaz Bono Dating Show in the Works

"The Bachelor," meet Chaz Bono: Cher's son could soon be starring in a dating show of his very own.

The executive producers of "Becoming Chaz," last year's OWN documentary about Bono's transition from a woman to man, told ABCNews.com that they're in talks with the former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant to develop a dating show. Bono split from fiancee Jennifer Elia last December.  "We're devastated that they're no longer together, but it's probably a good thing for both of them," producer Fenton Bailey said at Saturday night's GLAAD Media Awards in New York.

"We are talking to them about doing new projects, mainly Chaz. Maybe a dating show," added Bailey's production partner, Randy Barbato. Though Bono may be handing out roses to a new batch of hopefuls, Barbato said he and Elia are still on good terms.

  • 'Mad Men' Season 5 Premiere: Top 7 Moments

"Mad Men" sang and danced its way back on TV Sunday night with a two hour premiere that reminded us just how much we've missed their depraved and droll ways. Let's relive the top seven moments (spoilers below, of course):

    7. Sally sees Megan naked in Don's bed. There's a new mommy in the house now.

    6. Pete hits his nose on the support pillar. Serves him right for not letting Roger have his fun (and martinis).

    5. Harry describes what he'd like to do to Megan while she looks on in horror. Oops.

    4. Megan opens her blouse for Don. These two have a bit of an S&M thing going. Don can't keep his hands off his secretary turned wife, but she's not letting him have it easy. Their exchange in his office was electric: Don: "I could make you go home right now, you know. I have that power." Megan: "I have to get back to work." Don: "Open your blouse." Megan: "You're a dirty old man." (Opens blouse.) "Anything else?" Don, in awe: "No, ma'am."

    3. Roger meets Joan's baby, his

  • Six Things Karl Lagerfeld Hates

Karl Lagerfeld just hates everything, huh? The 78-year-old Chanel honcho lashed out at Newsweek at press conference in Japan today, calling the Tina Brown weekly a "s****y little paper."

According to New York Magazine, when asked what he thinks of Pulitzer prize winning journalist Robin Givhan's recent Newsweek story that called him "overrated," Lagerfeld said, "First of all, Tina Brown's magazine is not doing well at all. She is dying. I'm sorry for Tina Brown, who was such a success at Vanity Fair, to go down with a s****y little paper like this. I'm sorry."

Aw, what's the mwatter, Karl? Can't take a little criticism? You're certainly good at dishing it out:

    1. 'Too fat' Adele. Last month, he told the Metro Paris newspaper that music industry darling Adele is "a little too fat." Madonna stood up for the Grammy winner, telling
