Baby Squirrel Orphaned In Hurricane Is Now Someone’s Beloved Pet
Meet Jill, the three-year-old squirrel orphaned in a deadly hurricane.
Jill had a rough start in life; she was orphaned in 2012 when Hurricane Isaac struck the US state of Louisiana.
Luckily she was rescued and now lives a happy life with her doting human best friend.
“My Grandfather was cleaning up after a hurricane and found her,” says one caption on Jill’s instagram account, which has over 134,000 followers.
Jill lives indoors but is regularly taken out for adventures in her travel kennel.
“She is fairly uninterested [in going outside] unless there is a cat out there or if she spots one of her favourite humans. But, if she sees her travel kennel she gets very excited and will do anything to get in there.”
She’s even taken on the annual family holiday.
Jill is a photogenic little lass, as you can see here…
…and here…
…and here, in this classic reclining pose. Looking good, Jill!
Jill’s mates aren’t only of the human variety.
“Our early dog sitting days. She would drink out of his water bowl and boss this boy around. And he loved every second of it!” Says the accompanying caption.
It’s plain to see Jill’s human is utterly devoted to her.
“I may have made too many birthday hats for Jill. She only turns 3 once, right?”
