Baidu Spark Security review
Baidu Spark Security is an alternative browser you can use to surf the Web without having to worry about compromising your privacy or security along the way. The interface is similar to Chrome, so you won't have much trouble finding your way around, and the connection is generally quick despite the added security measures.
Pros
Special tools: There are a set of special tools arrayed across the top of the interface that you can use for quick access to these features. Options include Media Download, Torrent Download, Capture Screen Region, Open Downloads Manager, and Account Protection, which stores the current page's log-in information for later use.
Security features: This browser comes with a built-in Virus Scanner to prevent you from downloading anything potentially harmful. It also has an Adware Block to minimize unwanted intrusions while you're browsing and an extra line of protection that prevents other programs from modifying your existing Security and Privacy settings.
Cons
Responsiveness: Links clicked through this browser didn't always respond the first time. YouTube videos also took a bit longer to load than they did through Chrome, and some of them didn't respond at all.
Bottom Line
Baidu Spark Security is a good browser option to try out, if you're concerned about the security of your computer or safeguarding your personal information. There were some bugs during testing, so you may not want to use it for all of your online needs. But it's free, and it's a good tool to have at your disposal for use with especially sensitive tasks.
