    Bangladesh recalls Ashraful for tests vs. Pakistan

    DHAKA, Bangladesh (AP) — Bangladesh recalled batsman Mohammad Ashraful among four changes in a 15-man squad for the two-test series against Pakistan.

    Ashraful missed Bangladesh's 3-0 loss to Pakistan in the one-day international series but was selected following the failure of the middle order and his good form in the National Cricket League. He scored three half-centuries and a century for Dhaka Metropolis.

    Allrounder Mahmudullah, medium-pacer Robiul Islam and batsman Nazimuddin are the other new players from the test squad that played against West Indies in October and November. They replace opener Imrul Kayes and middle-order batsmen Raqibul Hasan and Shuvagata Hom Chowdhury.

    Mahmudullah played in the ODIs against Pakistan after having missed the test series against West Indies because of dengue fever.

    The first test against Pakistan begins Friday in Chittagong.
