Bank VP pleads guilty to $600K embezzlement

BALTIMORE (AP) — A bank vice president has pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $600,000 from the institution.

Fifty-six-year-old Wanda Henderson of Westover, Md. entered the plea on Thursday. She faces a maximum of 30 years in prison at sentencing Feb. 7.

According to her plea agreement, Henderson was vice president and executive assistant to the president of Hebron Savings Bank. Prosecutors say Henderson created fraudulent loan and line of credit accounts in her name and the names of relatives. She forged signatures of various bank officials, including the president.
