MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) Miami Beach police say a New York Knicks player has been arrested on a bench warrant for not having a valid driver's license.

The Boston Celtics punched their ticket to the NBA Eastern Conference finals with an 85-75 victory over Philadelphia behind a "triple-double" by Rajon Rondo.

BOSTON (Reuters) - Point guard Rajon Rondo stepped up to save the day in the final minutes as the Boston Celtics held off the Philadelphia 76ers 85-75 in their decisive Game Seven on Saturday and advanced to the NBA's Eastern Conference finals against the Miami Heat.

The NBA fined Miami coach Erik Spoelstra $25,000 for critical public comments on the officiating of the Heat's Eastern Conference second-round playoff series against the Indiana Pacers.

Mike Woodson, who guided the New York Knicks to the NBA playoffs after taking over as interim coach in March, signed a multi-year contract extension, according to the team.
