The Flash Will Appear In Batman V Superman

If you thought ‘Batman V Superman’ was crowded enough already, we’ve got some bad news… it seems that another DC superhero will be joining them.

During an interview with Omelette, ‘Batman V Superman’ costume designer Michael Wilkinson appears to have given the game away – revealing another DC superhero cameo.

“I’m not really at the liberty to talk about The Flash right now,” he said. “But it’s something that you’ll be seeing in the future in our films. You do get a glimpse of him, of course, in Batman v Superman.”

Of course, the big screen version of The Flash will be played by Ezra Miller in his upcoming 2018 solo film… but could ‘Batman V Superman’ really give us an early glimpse?

It’s no secret that ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’ will feature a number of DC’s biggest superheroes. We’ve already seen Wonder Woman appear alongside Batman and Superman in the official trailers… and with Aquaman and Cyborg rumoured to appear, it isn’t a huge leap to imagine The Flash popping up somewhere.

But maybe not in costume…

“I’m really looking forward to taking the amazing, iconic costume for The Flash and interpreting it in a fresh way where Ezra Miller is playing The Flash,” Wilkinson added. “He’s an extraordinary performer, he has a sort of interesting sense of humor and the youth that will be great for Barry Allen and I think he’s going to make a great Flash.”

Obviously, the fact that Wilkinson hasn’t taken on the iconic costume just yet seems to suggest that Barry Allen will be appearing in plain clothes… and considering that the Justice League is only just beginning to shape up, perhaps that’s a good idea.

But how does Barry get his powers… and will it have anything to do with the events of ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’?

For now, we’ll have to wait and see.

‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’ heads to cinemas on 25 March 2016.
