Bearded Blade Runner Spends 'Low-Key Evening' Drinking, Flirting with Women
Oscar Pistorius has an interesting way of grieving. On the heels of a family statement claiming that the Olympic runner is constantly "mourning" the death of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, whom he shot to death on Valentine's Day, there are reports that Pistorius was out in Johannesberg drinking with his buddies over the weekend and was flirting with several women.

"He was drinking shooters and he was flirtatious. He didn't seem like someone [who had] lost the love of his life," one anonymous partier told South Africa's Sunday Times. Another added: "He was greeting a couple and then gave the woman a little pat on her backside. It was just so inappropriate." Oh, and apparently he's "sporting a beard" now—all the better for keeping clandestine after your lawyers successfully lobby to lessen your bail conditions while awaiting a murder trial.

In the wake of Steenkamp's death, news reports like that just do not look good. And they look doubly bad after just last week his family released this statement: "There is not a moment in the day that Oscar does not mourn for his girlfriend, and Reeva's family and all those who were close to her are in his thoughts constantly."

In his defense, Pistorius spokeswoman Anneliese Burgess told Eurosport that while Pistorius went out on Saturday, it was not out of control. "It is regrettable that what was supposed to be a low-key evening reconnecting with friends is now being blown out of proportion for sensational reasons," Burgess is quoted as saying by Eurosport.

Pistorius's reported actions over the weekend don't exactly reveal any guilt and won't help investigators solve whether or not he murdered his girlfriend, but they do make his statements about grieving seem hollow. And they certainly won't do anything to convince people who already believe he did kill his girlfriend otherwise. Pistorius's trial date is set for June 4.
