Best Comic Book Covers of the Week: 9/26/14

Welcome back to Best Comic Covers of the Week! As you may have guessed from the title, this is a weekly piece where we briefly discuss what covers made our socks blow right off of our feet. It may not have said that in the title, but you knew it was happening. The staff of Comic Vine has a few books picked out for you and we put it in this nice little package. Let's get started.

SECRET AVENGERS #8 by Tradd Moore

First up is SECRET AVENGERS #8 by Tradd Moore. It's Russian nesting dolls... with MODOK! Also, is that Pope Modok as well? If so, that's bonkers awesome.

ALIENS: FIRE AND STONE #1 by Fiona Staples

Next up is ALIENS: FIRE AND STONE #1 by Fiona Staples. The xenomorphs on this cover look incredibly awesome ad the flow of the cover is really cool.

RED SONJA #12 by Jenny Frison

Here's RED SONJA #12 by Jenny Frison. The queen of covers does it again. She always has these fantastic cover designs and this is one of the coolest she's done so far.

LOW #3 by Greg Tocchini

Next up is LOW #3 by Greg Tocchini. Another cover with a character upside down that also looks awesome? Hell yes! Tocchini does some fabulous work on this cover though, as he did with the past two covers as well.

Twitter Pick: NEW AVENGERS #24 by Gabriele Dell'Otto

Finally, here's NEW AVENGERS #24 by Gabriele Dell'Otto. This is what you guys picked for this week! Dell'Otto offers up some creepy smiles and some great looking characters hiding in the shadows.
