iOS 7 New Settings

Apple’s new iOS 7 software was finally released to the public on Wednesday and alongside it came a tidal wave of tips, how-to posts, tricks, guides and various other SEO optimized content. Among the sea of sameness, however, were a few gems that really do offer some great information to those who recently updated their iPhones, iPads and iPod touch handhelds. One such post comes from Dave Hamilton at The Mac Observer, who put together a collection of 12 new, interesting and sometimes hidden settings in iOS 7 that users might not otherwise stumble across.

Among them are a new dynamic type setting that automatically scales fonts in compatible iOS apps, improved Do Not Disturb controls, the ability to block numbers and email addresses from calling and messaging you, and the ability to control which apps can and cannot refresh data in the background. Hamilton goes through each item and explains not only where to find it, but also what it does and why it’s useful.
