The best evidence yet that Apple is finally ready to mass produce the iWatch
We’ve heard so many wildly contradictory reports about Apple’s iWatch over the past several weeks, although we feel confident in saying that the company’s first wearable device is going to release later than the iPhone 6, which is expected to be unveiled on September 9th. 9to5Mac’s Mark Gurman has gotten his hands on some new documents related to Apple partner GT-Advanced Technologies’ sapphire production plant that indicate Apple is at long last getting ready to start mass producing the iWatch.

In particular, Gurman has found that new research from PTT Research Senior Analyst and GTAT investor Matt Margolis indicates that GT-Advanced Technologies has started producing sapphire for some kind of jewelry product that Margolis believes has to be the iWatch. Gurman also notes that this jewelry product was not listed in previous documents that showed GT-Advanced Technologies filling orders related to sapphire displays that were presumably for the upcoming iPhone 6. What’s more, Margolis thinks this production timeline means that Apple is going to go live with the iWatch sometime in October, which is also when the company will likely release its next-generation iPad models.
