This is our best look at the LG G6

In about a month, LG will take the wraps off its next-gen flagship handset. The LG G6 will be nothing like its predecessor, as LG came to the conclusion that modularity shouldn’t be a characteristic of high-end handsets. The company already hinted that it’ll unveil the handset at MWC in late February, and revealed that the phone will have a brand new type of display.

We already saw a purported LG G6 leak coming from case makers, but now we got something even better, a high-quality picture of the LG G6.

Obtained by The Verge, the following image only shows the top half of the handset. From the looks of it, it’s a press render that seems to indicate the LG G6 will be a premium device.

The top bezel stands out for its thinness, and the screen has rounded corners. The picture might not show the LG G6 in full, but the phone is supposed to feature an all-screen design, complete with a large 5.7-inch display with 2:1 aspect ratio.

The Verge says the screen ratio is greater than 90%, and the bottom bezel is only slightly taller than the top bezel.

The phone will be made of glass and metal, the report notes, and the battery will be no longer user-replaceable, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The phone will be waterproof, a feature LG teased in a promo video, and it will have a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.

On the back, the LG G6 is expected to feature a dual-camera and a fingerprint sensor, just like its predecessor (top image).

Veniamin Geskin used the image above to imagine what the entire phone might look like. The following, however, isn’t an official LG press image:
