Google I/O 2012 Hits San Francisco
Google's annual developer conference, Google I/O, brings together thousands of developers who want to see the latest and greatest Google projects. They weren't disappointed this year, seeing the launch of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the unveiling of the Nexus 7 tablet and a spectacular demo of Google Glass.

The annual Google I/O conference brings together developers, analysts, press and others to see the latest and greatest goodies from the search and software giant. And Google didn't disappoint.
The show kicked off with the unveiling of the and the new version of Android (version 4.0 ), and peaked with the of Google Glass.

And that was just the Day One keynote. For the past 48 hours, attendees of Google I/O have laid their eye on those products and more, taking them for a spin on the colorful show floor. San Francisco's Moscone Center has been completely tricked out with Google products and artifacts. Distinctive primary colors are everywhere, as are T-shirts sporting Google products and, of course, little green Androids.
If there's an ubiquitous presence at Google I/O, it's the mascot who represents the most popular mobile platform in the world. The Android is more common at Google I/O than Stormtroopers are at the Death Star -- everywhere you turn, some version of the familiar tubular figure is there to charge your phone, provide a place to sit or just entertain you.
