Bible Believing Groups Proclaim End of World Date October 7, 2015
Thousands of Bible-Believing Christians Around the World Are Proclaiming the End of the World and Beginning of the New Heavens and Earth on October 7th, 2015
PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwired - Sep 14, 2015) - The conservative Christian amalgam of believers, not affiliated with any church or denomination, in large part are represented by three main organizations, eBible fellowship (ebiblefellowship.com), Bible Ministries International (BMI) (bmius.org), and Friday Night Study (fridaynightstudy.com). These are the same organizations that joined Family Radio Stations and its late President, Harold Camping, in warning the world that Judgment Day would begin on May 21, 2011. That effort resulted in the most publicized date for the Day of Judgment across the globe, and was covered by every major news organization at that time!
Gunther von Harringa Sr. of BMI, an internet based Christian ministry which was intricately involved with the global "May 21, 2011 Judgment Day" campaign, insists that the dates of the beginning of the Day of Judgment and the Last Day comes directly from timelines in the Bible based in part upon the genealogies of Genesis Chapters 5 and 11, and is actually a calendar.
The dedicated groups are sending teams to major cities around the world wearing yellow shirts and hats and carrying signs proclaiming the October 7th, end-of-world date. The group has also launched a video website, www.oct7th.com, that summarizes their message in a three minute video in many of the world's languages. They have also initiated a major social media ad campaign that has already reached tens of millions globally.
Mainstream Christian Churches unanimously dismiss the "End of All Things" message quoting the verse from Matt 24:36, "No man knows the day or hour," and there is often much scoffing online and on the streets that a Christian group would dare to proclaim such a message.
Secular voices often accuse the groups of being foolish or crazy. But that does not deter the determined followers. "It is something that every saved Christian should be interested in and looking forward to," says Kevin Brown, founder of FridayNightStudy.com, a weekly live-streaming Bible study. "We are just obeying God's command to share the glorious message that the time of the rapture, the resurrection of the dead and beginning of the new heaven and new earth, is very likely to happen on Oct 7th."
E Bible Fellowship's Chris McCann hosts a "Questions and Answers" forum on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/EBFSundayopenQandA/) open to all regarding questions relating to the topic. According to McCann, many thousands of Muslims, Chinese and Hindi around the world are responding to the message. For instance, a man from Enugu, Nigeria writes: "Maranatha, come lord Jesus." Another from Nairobi, Kenya posted: "Yes I'm waiting 4 the day. 2015. 10. 07." McCann added "the majority of responses are mocking, and the Bible tells us in 2 Peter 3:3 'that there shall come in the last days scoffers.'"
Interestingly, 2 of the 3 main groups of believers are headquartered in the Philadelphia area, where Pope John Francis is set to culminate his North America trip exactly 10 days before the proposed end of the world, October 7th, 2015. The group will likely stir mixed feelings as they are planning to have a major presence in the cities the Pope is visiting as the proposed date draws near.
