    BigOven’s Menu Planner enables home cooks to plan days, weeks or months ahead, ensuring they’re never stuck wondering what’s for dinner - on a regular night or while entertaining guests. Plans can be simple or detailed with multiple courses, and can be changed easily just by dragging recipes and notes onto different days or meals. On the web, plans can be copied to easily use again.

    Choose from over 170,000 Recipes, Add Your Own Recipes


    Cooks can get inspired with new ideas by searching more than 170,000 BigOven recipes within the Menu Planner, plus accessing their saved lists of favorite recipes and recipes to try soon. Cooks can also add their own recipes to BigOven by typing them or by just snapping photos of recipes using BigOven’s revolutionary RecipeScan™ (http://www.bigoven.com/recipe/scan).


    In addition to recipes, notes for simple sides like “rice” or “bread” and reminders like “out to dinner” or “friends visiting” can be added easily. Daily local weather forecasts automatically appear on the iPad Menu Planner based on current location, helping cooks know when to grill outside or make some warm comfort food like chili.

    Create Grocery Lists Quickly


    When finished planning, BigOven Pro members can easily create grocery lists with just a few clicks. Grocery lists are grouped by aisle, saving time, and can be emailed, printed, or accessed via one of the free BigOven apps for iPhone, Android, iPad or Windows Phone. Grocery items can be checked off while shopping to buy just what’s needed in each aisle.

    Planning Saves Time and Money


    Holiday meals are less stressful when planned in advance, as it allows dishes to be made ahead of time. BigOven recipe servings can be scaled for any guest list, and the grocery list ensures the right ingredient quantities will be purchased at the store. Planned menus can be shared by email with guests prior to an event to avoid allergies and dislikes, or to plan a potluck meal together with other cooks.
