Bill Clinton: Supreme Court ‘should uphold’ individual mandate [VIDEO]

Former President Bill Clinton told The Daily Caller that the Supreme Court “should uphold” the individual mandate in President Obama’s health care reform law.

Clinton moderated a panel discussion Friday at the Clinton Global Initiative University annual meeting featuring former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Grammy award-winning musician Usher.

As Clinton left the stage, The Daily Caller asked him about the Supreme Court’s review of the health care law’s individual mandate, which requires individuals to purchase health insurance or pay a fine.

“I can’t tell what’s going to happen,” Clinton told TheDC.

“They should uphold it,” he added as Secret Service agents moved him through the exit of George Washington University’s Smith Center.

Rye Barcott, the founder of Carolina for Kibera, Sadiqa Basiri Saleem, the Executive Director of the Oruj Learning Center and Steven Knapp, the president of George Washington University were also on the “Power of Public Service” panel.
