Black ex-worker files 2nd Panera racial bias suit

Strange indeed....from the article...."saying the company doesn't want blacks in positions where they interact with the public."....

The 2 Paneras we go to are predominantly black. They even know my wife & sister(who go there every week) & are already making their order when they see them come through the door. Never had a problem & the workers are always professional.

2012 american cant do the job try to sue.............Do the job nobody cares what color you are do a good job

Only the best employees should interact with the customer, regardless of race or gender, ie able to comminicate with the customers in a correct fashion work a cash register and actually make change correctly.

A lot of places here will not hire a person unless they are bilingual.

There is only ONE way out of your so called deprivation. It is called EDUCATION!!

Lets try this again - you can sue for discrimination if you are fired after overt racist attacks or slurs etc. If you quit and decide to sue yourself into a cushy early retirement I hope that you lose and are charged costs for the defendant.

The problem lies within company policy & regard to profit. Go into any well run retail establishment and you wont find employees covered in body art and speaking street slang.

Went into Wendys, the cashier there instead of asking how may I help you, snapped her fingers at the customer and said 'you'. Amazing how customer service has gone down the tubes in this country.

Did you ever see some of these young men with jeans hanging 3/4 of the way down their fannies? Speaking ebonics and instead of saying "Thank You" say, "uuuuuhuh" or "no problem"? Would you want them interacting with the public of the business you own?? I have a feeling there is more to this story than what is written.

When you talk like you have eight rubber balls in your mouth and no one can understand a darn thing you say. Your right, stay the HE** away from my customers. White or Black.

He wasnt fired because he is black, he was hired because he is black but he is fired because he is worthless.

Uhhh, I worked at a Panera as a cashier, and I'm not white. One of my managers was black and several of the other cashiers were black and hispanic. If Panera is racist, I didn't see it.

The race card has been played out. Time for everyone to start relying on personal merit.

This is pretty normal. The guy wants everyone to pay his way. He has to blame only himself. Amazing the amount of people refusing to do the job they were hired to do then pout at the Tax payers expense.

It is all about color. Well I am white and old so two strikes against me and I haven't sued yet.

When is the race card not used when a black person decides they don't want to work anymore. Unemployment, selling crack, killing for fun/hire, animal fighting, etc THAT'S WHAT ENTICES MOST OF TODAY'S BLACK PEOPLE...
