A disabled piglet has charmed thousands online with his name - Chris P. Bacon - as well as his antics in his homemade wheelchair.
Chris P. Bacon was born with a congenital defect which doesn't allow him to use his hind legs. Dr. Len Lucero, a veterinarian at Eastside Veterinary Hospital in Clermont, Fla., recognized the piglet would need a little extra TLC and decided to bring him home to aid in his rehabilitation.
"At one day old, a young lady brought Chris in," Lucero told ABCNews.com. "She brought him in for euthanasia. She didn't want to do that, she just didn't know what kind of life he was going to have. I gave her options, and one of them was to surrender him to me, and I'll make sure he'll stay alive as long as possible.
"I kept him and I went home with him, which is not typical of me, and I brought him in and my wife and kids were there. Everybody looked up at me and said 'You've found him a home.'
