Jennifer Aniston Dishes on Life Without Paparazzi, Clears Up Boyfriend Rumor

If Jennifer Aniston were to have a day when she could be invisible to the paparazzi, she would spend it doing things most of us take for granted.

"Oh God, a day's not long enough, a day's not long enough. … I would go into furniture [stores], I would go shopping.  I'd go to the museums.  I'd go to movies.  I would go to dinner.  I would you know, everything that you could squeeze into a day," the 43-year-old actress told Lara Spencer.

Not that she can't go shopping or go to the movies now, but "you just deal with that sort of little nuisance," she said.

"I've gotten to a place where I know we can - we know how to maneuver around them a little bit more… I've laid on many a floorboard," she said.

Aniston, who divorced actor Brad Pitt in 2005, is no stranger to life in the public eye, but she has kept her relationship with 40-year-old Justin Theroux very private.

The couple was rumored to have met and started dating on the set of her upcoming film, "Wanderlust."

"Nothing happened on that movie.  I mean, that was sort of - that's what is a rumor," she said. "I mean, it's again, it's the easy rumor.  But nothing happened.  We were just friends, great friends, on the movie."

"I've known Justin for a long time…we met when he was shooting "Tropic Thunder," said Aniston.

"He is really cute," she said.

In her latest movie, "Wanderlust," she and Paul Rudd play a married couple who give up their high profile careers to live in a hippie commune.

The pair hasn't acted together since "Friends" seven years ago, and before that in 1998, for "The Object of My Affection."

Aniston compares working with Rudd to being with an old friend: "I mean, he's just the easiest person, the most fun.  He's so funny and sweet and excited.  And you know, he's just a great guy.  He's a great guy.  And he is a great partner.  And he really was fun, it's always fun to work with him. "

The film, set in northern Georgia, provided a paparazzi escape for the highly photographed star.

"The main thing that was so refreshing for me was being in Clarksville, Georgia, which was so far in the middle of nowhere … There's sort of a parallel experience happened between what happened with my character in the movie and with me in life, which was just sort of like all of your, you know, your guards fell away.  You felt this, like, weight off of your shoulders of constantly, like, being on guard or looking over your shoulder or 'What's that over there?' or 'Who has a cell phone?'"

She described the feeling of walking freely without "that anxiousness of somebody about to just charge you."

When she's not filming movies, Aniston says she cherishes her time with friends and loved ones.

"The perfect night out would be, I don't know, a great dinner with friends," she said. "I love dinner with a group of friends or a dinner with your partner and a movie.  I love that."

Girls night out, which used to be a weekly thing for her and her friends, consists of dancing at parties or for birthdays and weekly dinners.

"We used to go to a Mexican restaurant every week, which was great," she said.

Of being known as a good friend, Aniston said, "It's very important to me.  And that's one of the highest compliments."

I don't understand why everytime Jennifer is talked to or written about...Brad's name comes up. If I were her I would say "let it go, It's been seven years". She is the only divorced celebrity that gets their ex mentioned all the time. They don't ask Tom about Nicole or vice-versa, every other couple just get to move on....It isn't right. I just really like her, I like her movies. I think she deserves to have people move past the "Brad" part of her life. I would be coming un-gluded if they did that to me, so I give her props for handeling it so well.

HeyJennifer, come to my place, you can hide out here. The key is to not announce where you are going. Just pack light and leave without notice. If someone recognizes you respond, Yes I have been told I look like her. Oh and leave your cell phone behind too.

She can afford to live anywhere. She doesn't have to live in paparazi magnet LA.

I don't doubt that the photographers get irritating, but she makes millions of dollars per film because the public is interested in her (she isn't get paid big bucks because she's a great actress). The upside of the public's interest is millions of dollars per film. The downside is paparazzi and tabloid attention.

I was thinking the same thing Seymour...she is at a level that they send scripts to her...she can live in any state.....why choose L.A. if you can't stand the paparazzi? (I swear I think celebrities secretly like it and would be devastated if they went outside and nobody followed them around)

Those two deserve each other. Him from Tropic Thunder and her using the word retard on Regis. She lost a lot of fans for one simple reason. She couldn't be bothered to say she was sorry. I'm guessing Brad Pitt left her because she's vapid and empty. Good riddance.
