Pippa Middleton and Royal Beau Rekindle Romance

Pippa Middleton is stealing royal headlines once again, stepping out with an old flame just as the Queen celebrates her Sixtieth Diamond Jubilee.

Middleton, 28, the younger sister to the Queen’s granddaughter-in-law, Kate Middleton, is back in a serious romance with her old flame, George Percy, reports Duncan Larcombe, royal editor for UK’s The Sun and an ABC News contributor.

The rekindled romance, the two met at Edinburgh University and had a fling during their senior year in 2008, could see Middleton following in her sister’s footsteps and becoming a royal too.

Percy, 27, is heir to the Duke of Northumberland, one of Britain’s grandest and richest titles.  As a boy, he served as a page to the queen, according to Larcombe.

His family’s estate is valued at more than $500 million and includes ownership of Alnwick Castle, familiar to Americans as the setting for Hogwarts School in the Harry Potter movies.

A source close to the pair told Larcombe, “George is very smitten and completely in love with her.”

Middleton split with her long-term beau, ex-cricket player Alex Loudon, 31, last November.

Said to be factors in the split were Middleton’s growing fame – she was dubbed “Her Royal Hotness” and became a target of paparazzi after she wowed onlookers as a bridesmaid at her sister’s wedding in April – and her relationship with Percy.

“Pippa has always been close to him,” the friend of Percy and Middleton told the Sun.  “There is no doubt this was a huge issue for her ex-boyfriend Alex.”

Percy was seen helping Middleton get over her split with Louden, but the two insisted they were “just friends” at the time, according to the Sun.

The now-couple reportedly made it official after pairing up at the extravagant New Year’s Eve party Middleton threw at the her family’s Berkshire home attended by Prince William and Kate.

“Pippa sat herself next to George at supper and made sure she was hanging off his arm all night,” according to the Sun. “And then she made her move.”

Middleton, who lives in London and works for her family’s party planning business, will bring her expertise to print in a new book in 2012.

Percy runs a renewable energy business and is also the beneficiary of a trust fund that will guarantee him an income of nearly $400,000 each year, thanks to his royal pedigree, according to the Daily Mail.

The writer needs to know the difference between "royal" and "aristocrat". Percy is one of the oldest families in England, having arrived with the Duke of Normandy in 1066. They also had a branch in Normandy.

They just started dating again after like a 4 year separation. How about the media not act like it's time to pick out a china pattern? I'm kind of disturbed by all the details on his wealth- does this article come with a yenta to shove her down the aisle?

No insult intended to the Earl Percy but he IS NOT royalty. He is the son and heir presumptive of the current Duke of Northumberland which makes him of noble birth but he is not of royal blood as his family, the Percy's, have no connections to any of the royal families who have held the crown of England. The writer of this article is either totally ignorant of proper protocol or is just plain stupid or too lazy to do any research. All these medeia morons made the same mistake with Diana. She was not royalty until she married Charles. Before that she was simply Lady Diana, the daughter of the Earl Spencer.

Yawn. And this is why we fought for independence in 1776.

Can I just say that George Percy is not "royal" He is an aristocrat - very different. There is a difference between a duchess and a "royal" duchess. Princess Diana's family had titles but were not "royal". Just FYI.

So even though he is an heir to the Duke of Northumberland, he's no royal? Got it...

Though not a royal, she would have a title and the second largest castle in England and even more money to spend.

Nobility has the ability to find one to share life with, love being one of the many reasons for this find. They will fit the lifestyle very well. The relationship has many facets, breeding, intellectual communication, shared values, community service and respect for each other. Best wishes in making their choice.

One, she is not a Royal. Her sister married into the Royal family, she did not. Two, her new boyfriend is not a Royal. Certainly a member of the aristocracy, but NOT a Royal.

Not sure where it will go but, I've seen these on again and then splits come back together stronger than many that did not experience that in between period of exploration; seems to help them understand what virtues and values they each want. I hope they each find contentment and happiness and are blessed with long marriage whether with each other of with another; that is all that matters in the end.

The writer should get to know the facts as to royalty and peerage. It is a big credibility hit.

"His family’s estate is valued at more than $500 million" - that would be inherited from the British tax payer...they must be so proud of where their tax money goes....
