    VIDEO: Teen Surfs With Dolphins

Aquaman look out, you've got some competition. And if you don't watch your back, you might be eating his wake. Mitchell Overton, 15, was wake-skating behind a boat when he received some unexpected visitors, a pair of dolphins who proceeded to swim beside him in the boats wake, popping out of the ocean for the occasional back flip.

Mitchell's father, Steve Overton, told ABC affiliate WFTS that his son was initially afraid of the dolphins, but has since come to embrace his aquatic admirers. The dolphins will now wake-skate with Mitchell for 30 minutes or more at a time.

The video was shot at St. Pete Beach, Fla., one of the most visited destinations on the Gulf Coast and Guinness World Records holder for most consecutive sunny days (762).

Wake-skating, a sort of hybrid of skateboarding and surfing in which participants ride the wake of a boat on a small board, has been gaining popularity in the area around St. Pete Beach and it's easy to see why.

Check out St. Pete Beach here, and maybe wake-skate with some dolphins yourself.

Blatant example of an endorsement disguised as a news story. You can only see any video by clicking the Ste Clair Beach link to a pretty elementary resort website with a video stuck at the bottom. The video is a tour guide and I didnt watch it long enough to see if it had a dolphin surfing with a boy.

I would not want to wake-skate past a pair of great white sharks or any other ocean predator !
