A goat possibly headed to the slaughterhouse made a daring and dangerous escape into traffic on a busy highway in New Jersey.
The sure-footed animal managed to evade five Jersey City police officers for almost two hours on Tuesday, zigzagging across lanes of traffic on the Pulaski Skyway, causing traffic jams and a minor accident, according to the Associated Press.

The goat, which managed to come out of the incident uninjured, was dubbed Sky by police.
Sky may have had good reason to flee: According to New York’s WPIX11, the animal had a U.S. Department of Agriculture tag and likely escaped from a truck on the way to a slaughterhouse.
The feisty animal eventually tired out, allowing officers to surround it and get a noose around its neck.
Sky’s luck has at least temporarily changed. The brown, horned creature was taken to Liberty Humane Society in Jersey City and eventually will be transferred to a farm.
