  • High School Student’s Rant About Teacher Goes Viral

In case you didn't know, Tuesday, May 7, was Teacher Appreciation Day. Well, someone should tell that to high school student Jeff Bliss of Duncanville, Texas, who was featured in a video posted to YouTube on Monday. The video, which was shot by a fellow student and has now gone viral, features Bliss ripping into his world history teacher for what he believes are poor teaching practices.

And if you think Bliss regrets his actions, think again. He spoke to ABC's WFAA about why he lashed out at the teacher. He said, "I believe that somebody needed to say this. I want to see a teacher stand up and interact with the students, get involved, discuss, talk, question, and get deep into the subject."

Tammy Kuykendall, chief communications officer for the Duncanville Independent School District, said, "The district is aware of the video, and we are currently addressing the situation."

The video has now been viewed more than 140,000 times. Most of the reactions to Bliss's rant have been positive.

  • Father’s Facebook Post About Bullied Son Goes Viral

Matthew Bent of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, is being hailed as a hero for standing up for his son against three bullies at his school. Bent says that his son has been repeatedly harassed by classmates at River View Middle School, even suffering physical harm. His son says that even after reporting the incident to teachers, nothing was done about it.

Bent took the fight to Facebook on Wednesday, where he posted an image of him and his son holding a sign that read "I stand behind my son in the fight against bullying. Please like and share to send a message loud and clear that bullying needs to stop now. Tell school districts that protecting bullies by turning a blind eye is wrong!" Bent's post has been "liked" on Facebook more than 390,000 times and shared more than 410,000 times. Bent explained his public outcry, saying, "If no one's going to stand up for my son, I'm going to stand up for my son. When i was in junior high and i was bullied, nobody stood up in my corner."

  • When new parents bring home their adorable baby from the hospital, they usually want to share their joy with the world. And lately, many people have hired professional photographers to capture their precious newborns' early days. But it's not only biological parents who want photos of their little ones -- nor do the kids have to be newborns to have a fun photo shoot celebrating their arrival.

Three years ago, Kelli Higgins of Crestview, Florida, had five biological children at home and was pregnant with a sixth. She and her husband then adopted two siblings, 5-year-old Chanya and 10-year-old Latrell. Last month, while the family sat around the dinner table, Higgins, a photographer, told the kids that she would be doing a newborn photo session. Latrell, who spent much of his youth in foster care, mentioned to his mother that he didn't have any baby photos of himself. That gave his 12-year-old sister Alycia an idea: Their mom should take "newborn" pictures of Latrell now, at age 13!

  • Some people turn to the Internet to find a like-minded roommate, especially in New York. Jonathan Mann of Brooklyn has taken the online search a step further. In addition to posting an ad on Craigslist, Mann wrote a song about his apartment and the room he has available for rent.

For Mann, writing songs and making videos is second nature. He has written and recorded one song every day since January 2009, and posting them on his popular YouTube channel. He even raised enough money via Kickstarter to fund a "song-a-day" album.

This roommate-search ditty, called "Come Live With Me in Brooklyn," is approximately his 1,500th creation. Subscribers might have a little insight into why he's looking for someone to share the rent. Back in December, he and his ex-girlfriend recorded a breakup song detailing the reasons for their split. The video of the song promptly went viral.

  • Amazing Video of Blind Skateboarder Wows the Web

Skateboarding is an extreme sport that takes a tremendous amount of skill, balance, coordination, and fearlessness. Now the world is being introduced to skateboarder Tommy Carroll who has all of that, and then some. Carroll was born with retinal cancer, which left him blind at the age of 2. His lack of sight didn't keep him from his passions, whether it is playing the drums or hitting the halfpipes. He spent hours honing his skateboarding skills and learning to assess his moves by listening to the sounds of his wheels on different surfaces.

A video of Carroll on Vimeo has been viewed more than 500,000 times. It's part of the Dutch retailer Perry Sport's "Be Brave Be Safe" campaign to bring awareness to the importance of wearing protective gear while skateboarding. He plans to take the initiative one step further by setting up

  • Aviation Experts Debunk Iran’s Stealth Fighter Jet Claims

The development of a new Iranian stealth fighter attracted a lot of attention over the weekend. But aviation experts are now questioning whether the jet is even real.

This weekend pictures and video were released of Iranian military officials surveying what looked like a fully operational Q-313. Aeronautics experts, including David Cenciotti of the blog The Aviationist, quickly pointed out some serious design flaws.

For example, the wiring of the cockpit's front panel appears too simple and the cockpit seems too small for a pilot to fit inside. Perhaps more importantly, Cenciotti claims the plane's back engine contains no nozzle for afterburners, which means the heat would probably melt the entire jet. He further speculates that the video of the plane coasting through the air was mostly likely a radio-controlled version.

The video of the plane's unveiling released to YouTube was met with mockery from viewers. There are upward of 150,000 views and counting. One person joked, "I built

  • Amazing Video of Man Beatboxing at an Incredible Speed

Beatboxing, or using your own voice to simulate a variety of musical instruments, is no easy feat. But an amazing French beatboxer has taken the art to a whole new level: Call it speed beatboxing. In his most recent video uploaded to YouTube, Alem, as he is known, sets a metronome to various lightning-quick beats-per-minute rates and beatboxes along with it.

He starts with slower beats and then gradually increases the bpm to a rate of 176, at which point he sounds like a human drum machine or a thousand kids tap dancing simultaneously. As one commenter put it, "Ok, you are so amazing I don't know what to say." The video has had over 190,000 views in the two weeks since he posted it.
