It's Off(erman) with his mustache!

With the final season of Parks and Recreation in the can, Nick Offerman is free to do whatever the heck he wants with his signature 'stache. So he debuted his man makeover — buh-bye, dark caterpillar; hello, salt-and-pepper beard — at the Sundance Film Festival and had people doing all kinds of double takes.

Why that kind of looks like… Gee, is that… Man, he looks so familiar but I just can't place him.

Offerman is just one celebrity whose man fur has us talking right now. Here, we break down the most-talked about hair fuzz in Hollywood:

Nick Offerman
The look: His Magnum, P.I.-esque thick brown 'stache is now clogging his drain at the Offerman/Megan Mullally abode. He's letting loose with a less manicured (and dyed!) chinstrap.
The reason: He hasn't said, but he's beginning life after Ron Swanson now that Parks and Rec is almost over.
The response:

Zach Galifianakis

The look: After his infamous slimdown last year, he's now also slimmed out his Brawny-style facial hair. He also has a man bun, but that's a whole other conversation.
The reason: He'll be clowning around in Louis C.K.'s upcoming comedy series Baskets. Meaning? Having a lot of facial hair could interfere with Bozo's makeup.
The response:

Matthew McConaughey

The look: Not appearing as your typical Lincoln driver, the Oscar winner looks like he did back in his bongo-playing hippie days with this wild, unruly fuzz, which glistened at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday.
The reason: McConaughey often changes up his facial hair for roles and this particular one is for his Civil War era character in The Free State of Jones.
The response:

Colin Farrell

The look: All he needs is some wax! The Irish actor has been tooling around L.A. with a handlebar mustache.
The reason: It looks like the True Detective series will continue to embrace facial hair. That's the project he's working on these days.
The response:

Bryan Cranston

The look: Walter White had some sinister 'staches, but the actor's latest look seemed to channel Satan himself.
The reason: Again, his look is work dictated. Both Holland, Michigan and Trumbo call for furry features.
The response:

Chris Daughtry

The look: The singer went from having a very sculpted chin curtain and then a basic beard to a full-on, face covering fur panel. The mountain man look made him hard to recognize — good thing his smile hasn't changed.
The reason: It makes him happy, according to his Twitter.
The response: Well, not so nice. His own response to his critics was a winner though:
