Katie Holmes Took Suri Cruise Out for an Adorable Pre-Birthday Party

Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise are continuing their silent campaign for the cutest celeb mother-daughter duo. Holmes took Suri out days before her 9th birthday — which she'll celebrate on April 18 — and she made sure they had an awesome time.

Holmes posted a pic of the two of them on Wednesday having a ball, playing dress up, and showing off their shared flair for the dramatic.

Holmes also posted a pic of them and some of Suri's pals demonstrating their newly acquired bling.

"Some serious bling," Katie wrote. "#party city."

Party city, indeed. These girls sure know how to party and spend quality mother-daughter time together — the kind of mother-daughter time that's cute enough to make you squeal while you scroll passively through your newsfeed.

While realizing Suri is about to put a ninth candle on her cake might make you want to break a sweat (it's been nine and a half years since Katie announced she was pregnant and 10 since Suri's dad, Tom Cruise, jumped on Oprah's couch!), the pics Holmes posted are heartwarming enough to help distract you from the burden of aging.

And fortunately for all of us, Katie and Suri's infectious joy doesn't stop with social media — Katie and Suri were photographed having a blast at the Kids Choice Awards together in March.

These gals obviously have the best time together (did you see that pic of them putting on make up together?!), and it's clear Katie loves spending time with her girl. And if mother-daughter time can be judged at all by Instagram pics, then yep: Katie and Suri win for the day.
