Once upon a time, in a human-sized cage, a sexy bird delivered unto us a promise that she cannot be tamed. Now, all grown up and transformed into the human woman Miley Cyrus, who is killing it, that sexy bird is staying true to her word.

Elle U.K.'s October cover model, Cyrus, says she's single and she's interested in you — yes, you — but she won't be for long: "I'm very open about it — I'm pansexual. But I'm not in a relationship. I'm 22, I'm going on dates, but I change my style every two weeks, let alone who I'm with."

It had been rumored that Cyrus and model Stella Maxwell were a thing — and they very well may be — though certainly not a serious, exclusive thing.

Cyrus also tells the magazine about using her reputation as a provocateur for good.

"If you get your t-ts out, and they are all looking, then you can use that space to say something and get them to listen," she says. "I was kind of embarrassed that I got paid money to shake my ass in a teddy bear costume ... I should not be worth the amount I am while people live on the streets."

We're looking forward to seeing what she wears — and what she says — when she hosts the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.
