The Bobbi Kristina Brown story continues, as Nick Gordon — her 25-year-old boyfriend — has been released from rehab. A source disclosed to People that he is back at home with his mother, Michelle.

Bobbi Kristina, the 22-year-old daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, has been at the center of the controversy since she was found unconscious in a bathtub on Jan. 31.

Gordon, who entered rehab after publicly admitting to his drug problems and emotional issues on The Dr. Phil Show, has not been permitted to visit the unconscious Bobbi Kristina (he tweeted his discontentment) in part because some have suggested he is to blame for her current condition. Back in February, Bobbi Kristina's aunt, Leolah Brown, adamantly told Fox 5 Atlanta, "Nick Gordon will be charged for this."

But Gordon has continued to keep his Twitter account as a public testament of his love for Bobbi Kristina, with a photo of the two of them as his avatar and a feed full of tweets (and full-on rants) about her. However, a recently posted out-of-rehab Tweet may prove he did some thinking while in treatment:

Unfortunately, the story and its players have only continued to grow even more complicated as Bobbi Kristina's status has changed. Though her dad cryptically announced to an audience at one of his shows that she was "awake" and "watching [him]," her grandmother, Cissy Houston, released a statement last week regarding her granddaughter's condition:

"I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive. Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me.  We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time. Keep us in your prayers."

In the meantime, according to People's source, Gordon will continue fighting to see Bobbi Kristina, while she fights for her life. "He is very distraught over what is going on," the source said. "He really wants to see her. He is upset about a lot of things: her being sick, him never getting respect [from her family]."
