Clearly Nicole Richie isn't keeping up with her Housewives.

The Candidly Nicole star, 33, bragged on Instagram that she was wearing her 6-year-old daughter's coat to host a charity event on Wednesday. Richie, whose super slender frame has been the subject of many headlines through the years, wore the fuzzy piece of outerwear, which didn't look small on her, with black skinny jeans to a holiday party for Baby2Baby.

"Thanks for letting me borrow your jacket Harlow," Richie wrote on Instagram.

Richie seemed pleased to be sharing clothes with a first grader, which is reminiscent of Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel's pajama scandal in July. The 44-year-old reality star posed for a notorious Instagram photo wearing her 4-year-old daughter Bryn's Hello Kitty pjs.

The shorts set was skintight on Frankel and showed off her midriff. Parenting experts quickly spoke out against the SkinnyGirl founder's decision, saying she was putting out the wrong message about body image and could spark weight concerns for her daughter later in life.

A judge did too. Frankel, who has been battling it out with her ex-husband Jason Hoppy over custody of their daughter, was admonished in court for playing dress up in her child's clothes. She was told, "No more pajamas," by the judge, who added, "It's not a joke. Her child is not a joke," and noted that the photo would have repercussions for Bryn for years to come.

Richie's slight frame has long been a topic of conversation in the pop culture universe. Circa 2006, at the height of her fame, she dropped a lot of weight and she publicly denied rumors of anorexia and bulimia. Six years later, the Simple Life alum told Glamour that she felt "great" about her body, adding, "You know, aesthetically I can be picky, but I choose not to. I've taken huge leaps. I’m proud of that."
