'Castle' Star Stana Katic Is a Married Woman

Stana Katic got a little bit of practice with bridal etiquette on Castle this past season when her character tied the knot with longtime love Richard Castle (played by Nathan Fillion). Perhaps it was even handy for her own nuptials. After all, the Canadian actress was a bride herself this past weekend.

A rep for Katic confirmed to Yahoo that the private actress, 37, married her longtime boyfriend, business efficiency consultant Kris Brkljak, over the weekend.

The details we have sure sound dreamy, romantic, and appropriately private. Close your eyes and try to imagine "a private family monastery on the Dalmation Coast of Croatia." The actress is of Serbian descent. Now close your eyes and try to pronounce her new husband's last name.

The season finale of Castle will drop on May 11 at 10 p.m. on ABC and the network has yet to make a decision about whether or not it will have an eighth season, but that's no matter. Katic has plenty to look forward to.
