Does Sarah Palin have ‘Linsanity’? You betcha!

Barack Obama isn't the only political figure caught up in the hoops-hoopla surrounding Jeremy Lin. In an appearance on Fox Business, former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin admitted she's in love with the new New York Knicks point guard--just like the rest of the country.

"I am, I am," the 2008 vice presidential candidate-cum-Fox News contributor said on Thursday. "Talk about an All-American story: the underdog works who so hard, erased all the stuff out on the periphery in his life that didn't matter. Humble. And look at where he is, man--putting his talent to good use."

Palin, who was once a sportscaster in her home state, even showed off her own "Linsanity" t-shirt. "I am obsessed with basketball anyway," she said.

Alaska, of course, doesn't have a professional basketball team. No matter.

"All of the sudden our team is the Knicks," Palin said. "Linsanity, man!"

    Palinsanity.

This coming weekend is a big one for Saturday Night Live. It marks the end of Bill Hader's tenure on the show and Ben Affleck's fifth time hosting. But perhaps the most significant reason to tune in is the fact that Kanye West is the musical guest, and he's making it seem like he really, really doesn't want to be. With West's apparent frustration with the show and his penchant for, shall we say ... off-the-cuff remarks, producers should be worried and we should be excited. Is there a better combo than that?
