Lil’ Bub meets Grumpy Cat, Internet implodes

The diva factor in the room must have skyrocketed on Thursday when two superstar cats — Grumpy Cat and Lil' Bub — sat face to face for the first time during the Internet Cat Video Festival in Minnesota.

Posts on Vine show Lil' Bub stuck out her tongue, while Grumpy Cat remained unimpressed with her new acquaintance. Now let's play nice, kitties.

But in fact, the vines show no sign of hissing or panic, and the two cats nearly touched noses in a moment that might have caused a few fans to die of cute overload.

The owners shared another vine of the two cats curiously staring at one another and posted pictures on Twitter of them napping side-by-side.

Grumpy Cat, whose real name is Tardar Sauce, became famous last year after a picture of her permanently disgruntled-looking face appeared on Reddit, and now she's a movie star. Her meow sounds grumpy too.

Tardar Sauce''s website says her grumpy face is probably due to feline dwarfism.

But she's been joined on the Hollywood cat scene by the teeny tiny Lil' Bub, a cat with a deformity that leaves her tongue sticking out much of the time, who has an enormous online following.

Lil' Bub's owner has declared Sept. 3 Good Job Bub Day to celebrate the cat's achievements as a "movie star, published author and talk show host."
