'Castle' Exclusive Video: A Sexy Stroll Down Memory Lane

Make sure you have a bucket of ice water close by, because this exclusive "Castle" series recap will not only catch you up on five seasons of Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Kate Beckett's (Stana Katic) will-they-won't-they romance, it's also a montage of their steamiest moments! Sure, there have been investigations, criminals, and all that stuff, but this stroll down memory lane is all about that love affair that's kept fans hooked.

From an adorable, short-haired Detective Beckett arresting Castle in the series premiere (in case you forgot, Castle's safe word is "apples") to her looking smoking hot in a bikini and driving Castle insane with her sassy one-liners ("I do this one thing with ice cubes," she teases), this ABC dramedy has been brimming with sexual tension that you could cut with a knife since day one.

And the innuendo and double entendres only get more explicit from there. "I can't help it if you get off by putting things in my mouth," Beckett says to a speechless Castle. Don't ask; just pull out your Season 5 DVDs. It's Episode 22. But that's enough of that. There are definitely plenty of funny, sweet moments between "Caskett" to reveal that it's not just physical. These two sleuths are in sync.

In sync is, in fact, literally what they are much of the time, saying the exact same thing at the exact same time. (Jinx!) "Do you two practice this when we're not around?" Detective Kevin Ryan (Seamus Dever) asks the dynamic duo. Nope, Ryan; it's just a whole lot of chemistry.

That connection was put to the test, though, in the Season 5 finale. Beckett lied to Castle about sneaking off for a job interview in Washington D.C., and when she gets the job, their relationship is called into question in a big way. In the finale's final moments, Castle says to Beckett, "I deserve more." And just when fans thought he was ready to throw in the towel, he pulled out a ring and proposed to her on the spot.

Will she say yes? We'll have to wait just a little bit longer to find out.

"Castle" premieres Monday, September 23 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
