Liverpool’s red-hot Daniel Sturridge scores off the pitch with stunning Brit model

Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge is enjoying a great spell in his professional career for the Premiership side.

The England ace has been earning critical praise for his fiery form after netting 18 goals in 19 matches. Sturridge, 24, is also the first player since Ray Kennedy in 1974 to score three goals in his first three games for the Reds.

Now, he also has much to be happy about in his personal life, after it was revealed that he has been dating Jourdan Dunn, a 23-year-old British model whom he first met in August last year at a music festival.

Dunn won "Model of the Year" last November at the Harper's Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards, and is also the first black model to walk the runway in a Prada fashion show in over a decade.

A source told The Sun On Sunday newspaper: "They have grown steadily close. But they have been keeping their relationship very quiet. A
s soon as they saw each other they were kissing and cuddling, and very much acting like a couple.”

Dunn grew up in West London and has one four-year-old son, named Riley, from a previous relationship. She participated in the Olympic Games Closing Ceremony and has fronted campaigns for the likes of Burberry, Yves Saint Laurent and Tommy Hilfiger.

She has thus far chosen to keep her relationship with the Liverpool star a secret, so as to protect her son.

Other England wives-and-girlfriends (WAGs), however, are all set to make their impact felt at this year's World Cup in Brazil.

The so-called British "WAG" army will be led by Coleen Rooney, wife of Manchester United striker Wayne.

According to the Daily Star, Coleen and the girls are looking forward to travelling to Brazil to support "Wayne and the England boys".

Other WAGs set to make the trip to South America include Steven Gerrard's wife Alex, Joe Hart's girlfriend Kimberley Crew, Frank Lampard's fiancee Christine Bleakley and Tom Cleverley's girlfriend Georgina Dorsett.

Christine Bleakley (seen in the photo above), who is set to marry Chelsea's Frank Lampard in the summer, also admitted that she used to have no interest in football.

“I go to watch him play football so he can come and watch me," said the broadcaster. "I had never been into football until I met Frank. Now I go all the time and I love it."

The WAGS were actually banned for six years after their drunken antics following England's loss in the 2006 World Cup quarterfinals in Germany, which left supporters seething at the girls.

But they've been welcomed back since Euro 2012 and are now all set to cheer on the Three Lions' bid for glory in 2014.

The report also added that both England players and WAGS would be under 24-hour armed security to protect them from gangsters and kidnappers.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi's partner, Antonella Roccuzzo, celebrated her 26th birthday yesterday. The football superstar posted a photo of the couple (above) along with the message: "Feliz cumpleaños amor !!! Te amo (Happy birthday my darling!!! l love you)".

Fellow Argentinean Roccuzzo, a family friend of Messi's who has been with the Barcelona superstar since 2009, also gave birth to the couple's first son on 2 November 2012.

Messi had proclaimed then that he was the "happiest man in the world".
