  • Jack Osbourne Discusses MS

    Jack Osbourne sat with Katie to discuss “Dancing with the Stars” and his new documentary titled “You Don’t Know Jack About MS” which chronicles his battle with the disease. However, MS did not stop him from getting third place with his partner Cheryl Burke.

    “I know you said “Dancing with The Stars” changed your life,” Katie said.
    “I learned to dance,” Jack said. “I didn’t know how to do that before, so it definitely changed something.”

    “Did your MS present any particular challenges? “ Katie asked.

    “Nothing that was too unmanageable,” he said, “[but] everyday can bring on something new.”

    What are some of the symptoms Jack has experienced so far?

    He explained that he sometimes will feel shooting pains and aches in his legs, as well as numbness, but the disease varies from person to person.

    “In the last 10 years there have been leaps and bounds,” Jack said, “there are treatments out there now that help maintain a high quality of life.

  • Lane Garrison, who is co-starring in a remake of “Bonnie & Clyde” is well known for his role on “Prison Break.” But one night, life imitated art – and things took a tragic turn.

    “I foolishly chose to drink and drive one night at a party that was two blocks from my house and I got behind the wheel,” Lane said. “Nineteen minutes later I got in an accident one block from my house and a young man was killed.”

    Lane found himself going from “Prison Break” to prison for two years.

    The experience has allowed Lane to use his celebrity for a worthwhile cause. He now openly talks about the dangers of drinking and driving.

    “I’m so blessed to be sitting on this couch and getting a second chance and spreading the message about not drinking and driving,” he said. “I’m really hoping people can understand the dangers of it.”

  • Lisa Whelchel Talks Career and Clooney

    Actress Lisa Whelchel A.K.A the feisty Blair Warner from the classic series “The Facts of Life” swung by to talk about her career, how she stayed away from bad influences as a child star, and of course everybody’s favorite topic – George Clooney.

    “How old were you when you did that show?” Katie asked.

    “16 is when I started,” Lisa said.

    “Was that a weird life for a 16 year old, or was that an incredible, fun life?” Katie added.

    “It was all I had known,” Lisa admitted.

    In addition to being on the Mickey Mouse club at 12, Lisa also had a few TV and movie roles.

    Unlike many child stars, Lisa was able to keep her name out of the negative spotlight.

    “We hear about all these child stars ,” Katie said, “and they turn out, you know, some not-so-good, and look at you, you’re so normal.”

    Lisa explained that being an established actress at a young age and her connection to religion helped.
