Loughner 2Jared Loughner was indicted Wednesday by a federal grand jury in the Jan. 8 shooting rampage in Tucson, Ariz., that killed six people and injured 13. The indictment is posted online.
Loughner (pictured), 22, was charged with attempting to assassinate Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) and trying to murder two of her aides, Ron Barber and Pam Simon. The Giffords charge carries a sentence up to life in prison; the others carry sentences of up to 20 years.
Loughner was previously charged with killing Judge John Roll and Gabe Zimmerman, an aide to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, crimes that potentially carry the death penalty.
Loughner is to be arraigned Monday in Phoenix.
UPDATE: An earlier version of this post incorrectly indicated that Wednesday's indictment charged Loughner with killing Roll and Zimmerman.
