At least 9 people are reported dead and more than 100 injured after a series of tornadoes blazed through towns in Kansas, Illinois, Kentucky and Missouri Tuesday night.
The town of Harrisburg, Illinois is nearly leveled, with at least 6 killed, according to the AP. The Ozark Mountains tourist hub of Branson, Missouri, which draws millions of visitors each year to its theater district, is also badly damaged, the Christian Science Monitor reports. Three deaths have been reported in Missouri. Fourteen people were injured after a tornado struck northeast Kansas, according to local news. Kentucky is still under a tornado watch after twisters hit early this morning, damaging Elizabethtown and other areas in Hardin County.
