They had good intentions, but not have cats sprayed and neutered. is looking for problems.
The way they mulitiply. Cats can mate every 6 months. And with in a year have hundreds of kittens. And the cats now suffer, by being put to sleep. These two need some very serious help, and counciling too. I am sure the ASPCA will keep a good eye on them. Having 2 cats was enough for me. with food, vet, and other things.

Oh, this is too sad. I do believe that those people started out with good intentions - but to see the animals so sick - and you can imagine how filthy the place had to be - they have to have some kind of severe mental disorder. I hope they are given treatment. What amazes me is - how do 2 people like that find each other? I feel so sorry for the cats, and admire the people who are trying to help them. I hope each one is adopted!

What is with the county even letting them have 100 cats? My maximum number would be zero. Also, what is with all of the racist, anti-liberal hate comments showing up here? Can the admins please delete those please?

there is no such legal statute as animal rights.

I think everyone needs to see the video of the rescue by the humane society. You will puke. It's on the web. A lot of the cats were just locked up in crates, diseased and clearly miserable- they were NOT freely roaming around. It's pretty awful. Yes, they started with good intentions but at some point, you have to admit that you have a problem. And most counties have a low-cost or free spay-neuter clinic and will work with you if you are in over your head. They should have reached out for help. They really should have mandatory mental health intervention and a case worker who checks up on them to make sure they don't start acquiring more kitties.

In all seriousness, how does the county address the removal of their home? It can't be burned and I doubt they could simply tear it down. Maybe a small nuclear detonation could be considered?

I just clicked on Google Images for Haven Acres Farm, and it looks as though a lot of those cats, anyway, were well fed and healthy. They had plenty of room to roam, with 8 acres, too.
